According to the Olay Website, the Fresh Effects BB Cream is supposed to provide six different things in one little package! In this review I am going to break down each of the six things and give my honest opinion on them:
• Refreshes skin instantly
- Unlike other Concealers I have used in the past, this is really light and refreshing - one of the problems I face with other name brand concealers is that they generally make my face feel very weighed down and "fake". Not with this brand, the formula is thin, and provides a nice clean feeling.
• Brightens for a radiant glow
• Evens tone with a splash of sheer color
- Not to brag, but one of the things I have never had an issue with is my complexion, so with that being said, the glow is noticeable but in the right lighting when it comes to pictures. I could not really get a good picture of it, but I really do like how even and flawless it makes my face look.
•Hydrates for 24 hours
- Because of the face that I do have Lupus, one of my biggest struggles is that I have very sensative dry skin, one of the things I really loved about this is that it made my skin nice and healthy feeling, without irritating it, which is a problem I have with a lot of other products.
• Smoothes for softer feeling skin
- It is amazing how much this product has made me love my skin! It feels so soft to the touch, which is something that is not always possible for me with the chronic dry skin, but this stuff just honestly works wonders!
• Protects against UV damage with SPF 15
- Once again, due to the Lupus, sunscreen is something that is very important. As it is I can not be in the sun longer than 30 minutes without feeling sick, my skin getting burnt is a whole new issue! I love that fact that is provides just enough protection for my everyday errands without that noticeable sunscreen smell.
Another great thing that I need to mention that really made this product a home-run for me was the smell! I generally stay away from foundations and concealers due to the fact that I can-not-stand-that-smell. It actually makes me sick to my stomach the powdery smell that most give off. This amazing BB Cream has a wonderful floral-summery smell that is really knocks it out of the park!
All in all, I will be buying this product again as soon as I am done with this tube, I am so glad that I got the chance to review this and try it out, opened my eyes to a product that not only protects your skin but still helps you look beautiful!
